Yale School of Management video 10153880512724442Each year for the past eight years, a team of Yale SOM faculty members and ping pong aficionados has challenged students to a Ping Pong Smackdown. Students bid for the right to play the faculty team as part of the annual Internship Fund Auction, which raises money to subsidize nonprofit and public sector summer internships.

This year, Felipe Furiati ’17, Pedro Furtado ’16, Jason Lee ’17, and Grace Newman ’17 won the chance to compete against Professors Mushfiq Mobarak, Barry Nalebuff, Florian Ederer, and Jason Abaluck.

This year’s Smackdown was the closest in the history of the tournament, but the faculty team continued its unbeaten streak, edging out a win in a tiebreaker.
