New director named for UD’s MBA program

macdonald_scott_200x250_0519165/20/16 The University of Dayton has named alumnus Scott MacDonald the new director of its master of business administration program.

MacDonald, who has been vice president for commercial lending at Civista Bank in Dayton, takes the position May 23.

“Scott brings vast experience and a strong connection with local business community, as well as a deep understanding of the University’s Catholic and Marianist identity,” said Associate Dean of Graduate Programs Harvey Enns. “His innovative leadership will ensure our graduates are prepared with the skills they need to advance their careers.”

MacDonald earned an MBA from the University in 1996, and served as an adjunct professor last semester. A lifelong Dayton resident, he is a member of the Community Capital Development Corporation, Dayton Region Manufacturers Association government relations committee and the Rotary Club of Dayton.

His past experience also includes working on business development through the Dayton Chamber of Commerce and on economic development with COUNTY CORP, one of the Miami Valley’s largest economic development organizations.
